Coastal Kids - August Week 2

This past Sunday in Explorer's your child learned that she doesn't have to be afraid because God is always with her. Just like Moses before the burnng bush, our fear of the unknown doesn't have to control us. She learned that not knowing what to expect at a new school, or meeting a new teacher, or making new friends doesn't need to keep us from experiencing the joy God has for us in these new adventures in life. Because God is always with us, we do not have to feel alone when our loved ones are absent. Her Bible reference was from Exodus 3:1-4:17.

Coastal Kids - New Series

School starts this month and one of the things on your kids mind is making friends. This week we are starting a new series in ELEMENT called "Peer Relationships". As they enter their pre-teen and teens year, your kids are hugely impacted by the friends they choose. This series helps children ages six to eleven build a Godly foundation for making friends and peer relationships as they grow.

New Series - BUILD

What is the biggest challenge you’ve ever faced? Maybe it’s a basketball game against

your arch rival. Maybe it’s passing your math class. Maybe it’s just trying to get up and go

to school on time. Whatever it is, you’re probably familiar with the little knot that forms in

your stomach. The nerves. The feeling of being completely overwhelmed. The Bible tells

the story of a guy named Nehemiah who was all too familiar with that feeling. In fact, it

isn’t just one story—there’s a whole book in the Bible named after him. Growing up in

Easter - This Changes Everything

As you already know, this coming Sunday is Easter Sunday! Because Easter is one of those times a year that people are more open to coming to church, we've been putting a lot of energy into inviting our community to join us for our Easter services. Of course, our goal this Easter isn't just to have a lot of people show up just so we can fill the seats. We are praying together that many lives would be changed by Jesus this Easter Sunday!

Children's Cup - Child Sponsorship

This past weekend as a church we announced an opportunity for everyone at Coastal Community Church to get involved with our South Africa campus by way of partnering with Children’s Cup to take care of the kids in our community.  I was blown away by the generosity of our church and that we sponsored the majority of the kids.

Anything But Ordinary - post by Pastor TJ

I was reading in Exodus this week when a familiar passage really punched me in the face.  It was one of those things that when I thought about it, I realized that this is what I do all the time.

Exodus 3:1-2 Now Moses was keeping the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he led his flock to the west side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.  And the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush. He looked, and behold, the bush was burning, yet it was not consumed.
